I’ve been working on a layout for my portfolio (Fried Brains) but my brain has been absolutely barbecued by lack of inspiration. So whilst listening to David Bowie, I just had the feeling to use him as a character for the layout. I breezed through some tutorials to try new techniques, etc. and came up with this. I’ve coded a layout for it but don’t really like it, so I’m contemplating whether to code it in a different style or scrap the entire thing. Your opinion?

Don’t even think about touching this. I will skin your ass and flame it after marinating it in kerosene.

I’ve been completely over run with school work and preparation for things to come! So much that I got such a major head ache today I stayed home. Yesterday was a public holiday (Thaipusam - it’s an Indian holiday) and today I just couldn’t muster the strength to get my procrastinating ass out of bed. My head was pounding like a couple of bongos.

And my mother, love sweet kind mother *cough*, passed me the cough again.

I miss my Dad. So bad.

I’m rhyming… I feel like Dr. Seuss.

The good thing is my iPod works. So when I accidentally dropped it in the toilet (clean water!) it didn’t fuse or anything. It was just a dead battery.

The story is that I was brushing my teeth and my iPod was tucked in my waistband coz my shorts had no pockets. So I did this hip flick thing for no reason, coz I’m cool like dat, and it flew out and feel down the loo. ‘Course I picked it up right away, the water was clean. But it wasn’t switching on. So I towel dried it, hair dried it, let it lay fallow for more than a month. No use. But Jay still had my transfer cable from when I passed my iPod to her to charge coz my mom took my laptop away. So I got the cable back like last Friday or something, charged it and now it’s fine. Only problem is it keep fucking up when connecting to iTunes. Some recognition problem or something. I’ll fix it …. soon. At least it can sync on a good day.

I’m adding practically a billion plugins to wordpress. And just so you know, I read a fuckload - just coz the library only has one book in it. I’m just lazy to add the whole freakin’ thing. Speaking of which, download Libra (media organizing programme) - it’s fantastic! And if you have a webcam (like I do, 2 in fact) you can use it as a barcode scanner to scan in your stuff. And it’s completely free!

God, i sound like a sales assistant or telemarketer… something like that.

Today I had a wake up call. It was time to update my portfolio, after letting it slowly die of NOTHING happening to it. I realised it was time for a CHANGE (I sound like a fuckin’ politician) when I was browsing through one of my favourite art sites and saw that my link had been taken off the site. My reaction:

Cal me vain, whatever. It hit me like a brick at 4AM on a Sunday.

Ergo, I’m working on a new layout. But I’ve forgotten so many short cuts and tutorials and Codes. It’s like when you leave freshly baked bread out in the open for a month, it becomes hard and all jaw-breaker-ey.

I’m… off to see the wizard?
